In the new refectory for the Collegio Papio in Ascona, the architects of Giraudi Radczuweit have designed a spectacular three-dimensional roof with 5 pyramids of different sizes. The shape of the roof is also retained on the interior ceiling, and with the further segmentation into individual triangles, the static struts of the steel structure are also virtually represented again in the interior. The textile ceiling spans a total area of approx. 600m², and is given another very special characteristic by the illumination exclusively from the edge of the individual triangular areas. In addition to the high-quality light, this ceiling also offers excellent acoustic values for the room, where it is sure to get a little noisy at times.
